Enterprise Profile

Handa Industries Co., Ltd. was established in 1995 and is a Hong Kong wholly-owned limited liability company. The company specializes in the research and development of weft knitted fabrics, knitting, dyeing, garment design and production. The company is headquartered in Wuxi, Jiangsu, with multiple subsidiaries and multiple production bases in China, Southeast Asia and Africa.

Handa Industries has in-depth cooperation with major Japanese trading companies and many well-known brands, and has always adhered to the quality principle of "not accepting defective products, not making defective products, and not allowing defective products to flow into the next process" in the production process. From the research and development, production, dyeing and finishing of yarns and functional fabrics, to regular style design research and development proposals, and the production of sewing lines, in-depth cooperation with the final brand in the form of an integrated supply chain factory will form long-term stable production and sustainable development.

Handa Industries  has a professional fabric and garment R&D team, advanced sewing equipment, a functional fabric engineering technology research center and hanging workshop, equipped with various advanced dyeing and finishing, knitting and weaving equipment. Handa owns HANUO® ( HENGNUO) fabric brand, which occupies a leading position in the development of domestic functional sports fabrics.WUXI Hanuo TEXTILE TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD. under its jurisdiction has been a "national functional knitted fabric development base" for many years, and has won the "China Textile Industry Federation Product Development Contribution Award" issued by the China Textile Industry Federation for many years.In 2017, HANUO Technology officially joined the "China Textile Fabric Fashion Trend Research and Release Alliance" and was named "National Functional Knitted Fabric Fashion Trend Research Center" by the National Textile Product Development Center.

Handa Industries has successfully passed ISO9001 quality management system, ISO14001 environmental management system and BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP and other social responsibility standards certification, and always adheres to green development since it was established. It has become a member of the Green Industry Innovation Alliance in the textile supply chain and one of the first members to participate in the Carbon Management Innovation 2020 Initiative - Carbon Emissions Measurement. Meanwhile, Handa Industries adheres to the ‘innovation, integrity, unity, responsibility’ spirit of Company, continuously strengthen intelligent manufacturing, innovation management and sustainable development to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of Company.

Handa Idustries is the national functional knitted fabric development base and also is the practice base for the bachelors and masters from Dong Hua University, Jiang Nan University, Wuxi Taihu College, Jiangsu College of Engineering and Technology, Chang Zhou Textile Institute, Wuxi Vocational Institute of Commerce and Jiang Yin Polytechnic College to finish their internships.

Brief Introduction of Production Bases

Handa Industrial Park

Handa Industrial Park is located in Yu Lane, Dongbei Tang, Xishan District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. The headquarters of Handa Idustries is located. It is a national functional knitted fabric development base and a garment production and product design base, covering an area of approximately 75,600 square meters. Wuxi HANBOOM Textile Co., Ltd., Wuxi HANDA Textile Co., Ltd., Wuxi Hengnuo Textile Technology Co., Ltd., and  HANWIN International (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. are all stationed here.

 

Handa Printing and Dyeing Park

Handa Printing and Dyeing Park is located at No. 188, Nongxin Road, Dongbei Tang, Xishan District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. It is a dyeing and finishing base for knitted fabrics, covering an area of 33,000 square meters. Wuxi HANDA Printing and Dyeing Co., Ltd. is stationed here.

 

ZhangJing Park

ZhangJing Park is located in No.8 Jingda South Road, Xibei Town, Xishan District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. It covers an area of 48,848 square meters and is a weaving base for polyester knitted fabrics. HANUO KNITTING stationed here.

 

Hengkang Factory

Hengkang Factory is located at No.11 Chenghe Road, Funing Economic Development District, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. It covers an area of about 5,000 ㎡. Hengkang Factory is the garment production base of Handa Enterprise in the northern part of Jiangsu Province. Funing Hengkang Garments Co., Ltd is located here.

 

Handa Myanmar Factories

The Handa Myanmar factory is located in Laydaya District, Yangon Province, Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The first garment factory is located at No. 288, Hebian Road, Shwe Lin Bahn Industrial Zone, with a construction area of 11,000 square meters, 25 production lines, and 1,050 employees; the second garment factory located at the junction of Wushuibin Road and Wumu Road in Shwe Lin Bahn Industrial Zone,  the building area is 42,000 square meters, the scale is 78 production lines, it has 3,700 employees, and is equipped with a printing factory and an embroidery factory; the third garment factory is located at No. 480, Wuma Suwen Road, Shwe Lin Bahn Industrial Zone, with a construction area of 16,000 square meters, 35 production lines, and 1,500 employees; the fourth garment factory is located at No. 93 Danlin Road, Shuidanlin Industrial Zone, with a construction area of 25,000 square meters. There are 48 production lines and 2000 employees. Myanmar knitting and dyeing factrories are under construction.

Handa Egypt Factories（Under construction）

 

The Egypt factory of Handa Industries is located in Beilbeis Egypt, covering an area of 35,000 square meters, with 45 assembly lines and 2,000 employees.

 

Big Events in 2020

• Business management

• 1. On August 29th, Handa Industries held an incorruption and self-discipline conference to popularize the law for employees and avoid the loss of profits in the blind spot of supervision for the company.

• 2. On October 8th, Handa Industries held a 6S management Start-up meeting, which officially launched the company's 6S management activities.

• 3. On December 3rd, for a better matching between employees’ thoughts and company culture, Handa's  culture was upgraded to version 2.0 and shared with all Handa people.

• 4. During the year, the company improved its organizational structure, optimized its management process, and promoted its high-quality development.

• Industry Activities

• 1. On July 15th-17th, Handa Industries was invited to participate in the 2020 China Textile Innovation Annual Conference·Design Summit, and at the same time visited the 2020 Greater Bay Area International Textile Fabrics and Auxiliary Expo for inspection and exchange.

• 2. From September 23rd to 25th, Handa Industries participated in the world's largest autumn and winter Fabric & Accessories exhibition with the theme of "Let's Make Fashion Sustainable and Innovative" series of products, which were favored by many visitors.

• 3. On November 18th, China Textile Information Center Alliance visited Handa Industries to conduct interactive training on trend analysis and development in the early stage of product development.

• 4. On December 3rd, China Textile Information Center visited Handa Industries to carry out an exchange on the development trend of knitted products with the theme of "focusing on function and ecology".

• Human Resources

• 1. On October 6th, in order to building up a young leader team and providing strong backup for the company’s high quality growth, the company launched a training course for young potential leaders, which is called  "Waves special training camp".

• 2. During the year, Handa Industries had recruited 161 college gradutes to help the development of the Company.

• 3. During the year, 74 employees were promoted under the fair, just and open competition mechanism of Handa Industries.

• 4. During the year, Handa Industries carried out more than 200 trainings of various types, including job skills, management knowledge, safety production, occupational health, etc., and about 3,700 people participated the training.

• 5. During the year, total 299 employees, 24 teams and 12 teams were commended and rewarded in various excellent selections carried out by the company.

• Honor and qualification

• 1. During the year, all branches under the company passed environmental management system certification and quality management system certification.

• 2. At the beginning of June, after strict inspection and review by the superior labor union, the labor union of Handa Industries

•  was named as the "Qualified Unit for Labor Law Supervision of the Trade Union in Xishan District, Wuxi".

• 3. On August 25, Wuxi Hengnuo Textile Technology Co. Ltd. joined as the 1st lot of Gazelle enterprises breeding bank in 2020.

• 4. On November 18th, in the "2020 International Conference on Gender Equality and Social Responsibility and the Award Ceremony of the Empowerment of Women Principles" hosted by UN Women and the European Union, Handa became the only WEPs award-winning company in China's textile industry.

• 5. On December 22nd, at the 2020 China Textile Conference, Handa Industries won the "2020 China National Textile and Apparel Council Product Development Contribution Award". The "antibacterial and antiviral dual-use underwear" jointly declared by Wuxi Hengnuo Textile Technology Co., Ltd. and Wuxi Gedi Technology Co., Ltd. won the title of "Top Ten Textile Innovation Products in 2020".

• 6. During the year, the subsidiaries of Handa Industriess successfully passed the certification audits of WRAP, BSCI, GRS, OCS, etc.

• Employee Care

• 1. On March 20th, Handa Myanmar invited doctors from the Social Security Hospital of Laydaya District to the factory and do basic health check-ups for the factory employees.

• 2. From June to September, Handa Printing and Dyeing Company carried out heatstroke prevention and cooling actions, providing refreshing drinks and heatstroke prevention and cooling products to frontline employees every day. During the period, the company's labor union and admin. staff conveyed greetings to wokrshop employees frequently and ensure they are in good  work and physical conditions.

• 3. On August 13th, Handa (Myanmar) factory held a full moon festival blessing activity. Employees participated in the activity in various forms and shared vegetarian food together.

• 4. On November 19th and 20th, Handa Industies organized the "Employee Gastrointestinal Disease Screening" activity and conducted gastrointestinal early cancer screening for nearly 200 employees.

• 5. During the year, Handa carried out various employee activities, such as tug-of-war competitions, trekking, and Tanabata activities.

• 6. During the year, in order to enrich the spare-time cultural life of employees, the company encourages employees to spontaneously form associations, successively establishing badminton clubs, basketball clubs, yoga clubs, Handa Cinema, and Rainbow clubs.

• Social Responsibility

• 1. In March, the "Handa Industries Social Responsibility Report 2019" was officially released on the company's website, and the company has released social responsibility reports for ten consecutive years.

• 2. In May, the "Handa Industries (Myanmar) Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2019" was released on the corporate website and shared with stakeholders. This is the third annual social responsibility report issued by the Myanmar subsidiary of Handa Industries.

• Charity

• 1. On January 26th, in order to help local government fight pneumonia caused by coronavirus, Handa Industries immediately donated 200,000 yuan to Dongbeitang government.

• 2. On August 17th, Handa (Myanmar) factory visited the local nursing homes and hospitals for the disabled, and donated 1.15 million kyats for daily operation and management.

• 3. On October 11th, Handa Industries donated 50,000 yuan to Sichuan Soma Charity Foundation as its daily administrative expenses.

• 4. During the epidemic, Handa Myanmar factory donated 15 bags of rice (about 400 kg), 200 masks, and 2 bags of charcoal to the epidemic quarantine place in the area.

• 5. On December 21st, Handa Industries donated 10,000 yuan to OFS ("Our Free Sky" charity organization) to purchase school supplies for students of Handa Primary School in Muli, Sichuan.

• Party Building

• 1. On July 1st, the General Communist Party Branch of Handa Industries launched the theme activity of "Going to the Torch on July 1st, Red Heart to the Party" to enhance the service consciousness of Company party members and play a pioneering role.

• 2. On October 30th, in order to convey and implement the spirit of the country and the "14th Five-Year Plan" meeting, the Party Branch of Handa Industries held a study meeting of the Fifth Plenary Session of the Central Committee.
