Fire Safety: Prevention Before Emergence Factories Across the Myanmar Garment Department Conduct Organized Fire Drills

"Safety first, prevention first", this is the safety production principle that Handa Enterprise always adheres to. As a labor-intensive enterprise, fire safety is a top priority. Therefore, Myanmar factories attach great importance to and actively carry out fire drills, continuously strengthen fire safety management, and improve employees' safety awareness and self-rescue capabilities.

Three factories of Handa Myanmar conducted emergency evacuation and fire safety drills in January, March, and April respectively. During these drills, local fire department personnel were specially invited to the factories to impart fire safety knowledge to employees, and demonstrating the firefighting equipment usage. Before the drills, safety officers provided detailed explanations of emergency response plans for fire scenarios, demonstrating the operation of fire extinguishers and fire hydrants. After the employees listened carefully and observed the lecture, they went on stage to conduct practical operations in person. They followed the fire extinguishing steps and methods to quickly extinguish the flames of the fire, and experienced the process of taking water from the fire hydrant and spraying it.

By participating in and observing drills, employees further enhanced their awareness of fire safety and emergency protection, gained a deeper understanding of fire prevention, and gained a more intuitive understanding and experience of the firefighting equipment's usage, in order to better prevent and respond to fires. It plays an important role in preventing accidents and ensuring safe production in factories.
