2019, Handa did not forget the original idea and moved on tenaciously. Under the complex and changeable business environment, Handa Enterprise worked together to accelerate development, in accordance with the established development strategy, optimizing organizational structure, strengthening the use of intelligent and automatic equipment, improving management and production efficiency, enhancing innovation ability, and develop steadily as a whole.
During 2019, Handa Enterprise kept a good momentum of development, pursuing quality firmly, tamping the management foundation, expanding overseas territory, carrying forward corporate culture. October of 2019, the third overseas garment factory of Handa Enterprise opened and put into operation, locating in the middle of the Water Spirit Ban Industrial Zone in Yangon, Myanmar, covering an area of 16000 square meters, accommodating 35 production lines and over 1500 employees. In the five years since the opening of the first garment factory in Myanmar, Handa Enterprise has opened three garment factories in Myanmar, with a total of 105 production lines and nearly 4500 employees, of which the second factory in Myanmar will be expanded to 82 garment lines in the future. Handa Enterprise is gradually realizing its own development plans. Now, the fourth factory in Myanmar has been renovated to enter the recruitment stage. Weaving factory, printing and dyeing factory have also begun to infrastructure. By then, Handa Enterprise will be the first to build a relatively complete knitted fabrics and garment production factory in Myanmar.
On November 16, the first cooperation agreement between Handa Enterprise and Egyptian Cotton Textile Industry Holding Company was officially signed in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Egypt. Since the date of the signing of the agreement, the Egyptian Cotton Textile Holding Company’s 35000 square meters of land and plants in Bilbes are provided to Handa enterprise to open an Egyptian clothing base. Handa Enterprises officially stationed in Africa, opening a new development mileage.
Handa Enterprise does its own management work actively in the continuous expansion, continuing to promote the construction of supply chain management system, providing customers with higher quality products, improving the standardized management of enterprise and the quality of operations, enhancing production efficiency and the production management model of enterprise.
Corporate social responsibility has always been our top priority during the continuous expansion of overseas territory and the continuous improvement of enterprise management. We must be responsible for employees, shareholders and society. In 2019, we continued to release Handa Corporate Social Responsibility Report and Handa (Yangon) Garment Co.,Ltd. Social Responsibility Report, disclosing the information on Handa social responsibility to stakeholder.
Handa Enterprise adheres to “people-oriented”, on the basis of protecting the rights and interests of employees to organize all kinds of training and staff activities, recognizing advanced, helping difficult workers in enterprises, implementing employee care in practice. We actively participate in and organize all kinds of public welfare activities. During the year, Handa united OFS public welfare organization to provide employment opportunities for mountain students, to donate money to Soma Charity Foundation in Sichuan Province to buy uniforms for students, to organize employees to participate in voluntary blood donation,etc.
Sustainable development is related to the future of everyone. Handa Enterprise actively responds to the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations and takes sustainable development as the key work of the enterprise. In the production and operation, we try our best to reduce waste, to increase recycling, to develop degradable and environmentally friendly fabrics, and reduce environmental pollution. Since July 2019,we have carried out garbage classification throughout the enterprise, publicizing the importance of garbage classification and small knowledge of classification, placing sorting bins in the park, guiding staff waste classification, cultivating the habit of employee waste classification, and reduced the burden for environmental protection.
In the competitive market environment ,we always adhere to the enterprise spirit of “innovation, integrity, unity and responsibility”. We integrate sustainable development and social responsibility into enterprise management, and make Handa Enterprise become the best professional intelligent supplier of fabric in the whole industrial chain.
This year, we prepared the 10th (Year 2019) annual social responsibility report of Handa Enterprise and released it to the public. We solemnly promise that the data and information involved in this report came from the development facts of 2019 of Handa Enterprise, which is true and accurate. We are willing to accept supervision and criticism from various stakeholders and continue to improve.
