To foster a robust safety culture and rally the team for continued progress, Handa Industries Wuxi Headquarters successfully held its 25th Autumn Sports Meet & Fire Drill of 2026 on October 31. Integrating emergency training with sports competitions, the event strengthens safety safeguards through practical drills and showcases the united, steadfast spirit of Handa team members on the field.

The fire emergency drill kicked off the event in the morning. As the alarm suddenly blared, the evacuation exercise commenced. All staff at the headquarters responded promptly, followed escape protocols strictly, evacuated in an orderly manner along the preset routes, and arrived safely at the designated assembly point. The whole process was efficient and well-organized. On-site commanders issued clear instructions, and all positions worked in coordination, fully demonstrating strong emergency response capabilities.

Jiang Yanhui, Vice President of Handa Industries, commented on the emergency evacuation drill. He pointed out that fire safety is the bottom line of enterprise operation. All staff shall raise safety awareness, conduct regular self-inspections for hidden dangers and master emergency response skills proficiently. While the drill was generally well-organized, there were still shortcomings. Relevant procedures should be continuously optimized to address weak points and effectively improve emergency handling capacity. He reminded everyone to stay safe during the sports meet. Meanwhile, he encouraged all to take an active part in the events, build up fitness, strengthen team cohesion and devote themselves to work in better condition.

As the stirring signal sounded, the opening ceremony of the event officially commenced. Each team shouted in unison, with powerful slogans rising one after another. Full of energy and fighting spirit, team members demonstrated the united and enterprising spirit of Handa people.

The practical competition for fire hydrant water discharge and fire extinguisher operation is in full swing! On the fire hydrant course, participants work in teams with seamless coordination. They rapidly connect fire hoses, couple fittings and open valves to release water, and the whole sequence is well-orchestrated with steady and powerful water flow. In the fire extinguisher session, contestants stay calm under pressure and handle equipment properly; they pull out the safety pin, aim at the fire source and discharge in one smooth motion with crisp, precise movements. Through this friendly contest, participants sharpen their hands-on firefighting skills and master the key points of fire equipment operation. Learning and training through competition helps them fully master fire safety capabilities, building a solid firewall for corporate safety.

The group tug-of-war competition kicked off in high spirits, with cheers and shouts of encouragement echoing across the venue. Teams made up of frontline production workshop employees and administrative staff from various functional departments competed side by side. At the whistle, competitors gripped the rope tightly, lowered their centers of gravity, pulled as one and held their ground. Spectators cheered them on in unison, and rhythmic chants mixed with cheers, fueling the players with tremendous energy. Crossing role boundaries and striving together, they embodied the united and competitive spirit of Handa people. In the end, the Dawn Team from the Dyeing & Finishing Factory claimed first place. Amid rounds of applause, they claimed the honor, bringing this thrilling team contest to a satisfying close.
